Graduate School of Economics

The Graduate School of Economics has set the educational goal to develop specialists in the economic field who can play an active role in various fields and contribute to society. Our curriculum provides a variety of selections for choosing research subjects while equipping expected students with basic academic skills and the ability to solve problems. For this purpose, we organize our master's program into "Research course," "Special Research Course," and "Tax Law and Accounting." Expected students will be able to select various courses in a wider range of research areas, such as economic theory, history, and policy which are the foundation for understanding principles of economics, in addition to applied economics that helps for responding current socioeconomic changes, and studies on taxation and accounting that are useful to develop skills and practical knowledge for finance. For the Ph.D. program, we offer five options, "Economic Theory," "Economic History and Thoughts," "Regional Studies," "Applied Economics," and "Tax Law and Accounting," which aims to develop economic specialists with research and practical skills, and thus can respond various social and economic problems from professional and creative perspectives.
